More remedies are available for vehicles that were purchased as New Vehicles or as Late Model used vehicles with remaining factory warranty. Bumper to Bumper Warranties vary from 24 month/24,000 miles to 100 month/ 100,000 miles depending on make and model. The most common warranty seems to 36 months / 36,000 miles. Some vehicles have longer warranties for specific systems such as Emissions, Corrosion Protection, or Power Train. Become familiar with your vehicle and its warranty.

Extended Warranties for New Vehicles. Many dealers also offer Extended Service Plans for new vehicles. You have to pay for these plans as an extra service but you may be able to get factory like warranty protection for up to 100,000 miles. An extended warranty also increases your potential remedies.
